About the role
We're looking for a Facility Support Engineer to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security. On behalf of the Lock Out Tag Out Manager (LOTO), the main purpose and objectives of the role are:
- To ensure the safe isolation of infrastructure systems and equipment within the Licensed Site.
- To act as the Authorised Demander when required; and to investigate and raise appropriate LOTO requests for Contractors who wish to perform intrusive operations within the SRC.
- To act as the Authorised Worker on processed LOTOs, installing the LOTO and providing the contractors with an LVIC or MVIC. To conduct periodic audit and review of the validity of LOTOs in force, and take corrective action as necessary to resolve any issues arising from LOTO audits. This will also involve being able to interrogate the LOTO Log to ascertain when an audit is required and to update the LOTO Log when an audit has been carried out.
What do I need to do the role?
You will need a minimum of ONC mechanical or electrical along with good organisation and communication skills. You must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, IFS and Visio and be able to issue LVIC's and MVIC's

This role is based at Devonport Royal Dockyard which is located in the vibrant city of Plymouth, Devon in the south west of England.
