Job Description

All about the Role 

The Finance Assistant provides day to day financial and administrative support to Clare Lodge within Children & Young People Services. The role is responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budget monitoring, and ensuring transactions are completed accurately and on time. The post holder acts as a first point of contact for finance queries, supports audits and reporting, and works closely with colleagues to ensure effective financial controls and high standards of customer service are maintained.

 


All about our Team

The successful candidate will join a small, supportive finance team providing dedicated financial and administrative support to Clare Lodge within Children & Young People Services. The team works closely with operational colleagues and senior managers to ensure accurate financial processing, strong financial controls, and timely reporting. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer service, continuous improvement, and supporting the service to achieve its objectives while safeguarding children and young people.


All about You
You are an organised and detail focused individual with a good understanding of financial processes and a strong commitment to accuracy. You enjoy working with numbers, managing data, and ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. You are confident using systems such as Excel, able to prioritise your workload, and comfortable working in a busy environment.

You have a positive, customer focused approach, communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders, and work well as part of a team. You are motivated to learn, keen to improve processes, and share the organisation's commitment to safeguarding, equality, and delivering high quality services.
