This role will be part of the Planning & Analysis Finance team for Enterprise Transformation, within the new Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Group Transformation & CIO, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager. The CoE provides an outstanding service dedicated to enabling Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to deliver high quality, timely and accurate outputs for the Business

We're looking for someone who can help cultivate an environment in which people bring out the best within the Planning & Analysis team with a customer centric philosophy, ensuring that core finance processes, reporting, budgeting and forecasting are delivered accurately and effectively

You'll be working in a collaborative fashion with teams such as FBPs, Business Management and Reporting & Control, building and maintaining regular contact and strong working relationships, embodying the Group's values and behaviours

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Being the key point of contact for FBPs within the CoE
  • Collaborating across the CoE to deliver quality products in a timely manner
  • Delivering reporting, analysis & insight to the FBPs and providing effective and reliable support to both FBPs and the business


  • Undertake cost planning and analysis activities across BAU and Investment cost base, challenging where necessary and providing commentary, analysis & insight
  • Communicating with Business Partners and Control teams on non-standard assumptions over month end, review accounting outputs and challenge
  • Support new analysis, scenario modelling and insight on the business to support strategic and operational outcomes
  • Gatekeeper for GT & GCIO Benefits including the modelling, tracking and forecasting against targets
  • Supporting Business Partners at or for key meetings
  • Active involvement in work stream activity to improve processes of the team and more broadly across Group Reporting and Cost Management

Essential skills, experience and qualifications

  • Qualified accountant
  • Experience of Cost planning & analysis activities within a Finance context
  • Strong communication skills and great stakeholder management
