Salary (Grade H3): £38,587 to £50,296 per annum plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting.

Due to internal restructure, we are offering an exciting opportunity to join the finance team as a Financial Returns Manager. This is a critical role that will partner with numerous stakeholders from across the University to ensure the accurate and timely submissions of external returns. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make this role their own and evolve the model to meet the needs of the University and the external regulators. The successful candidate will make a significant impact by leading the enhancement of systems and processes to streamline the activity, whilst vastly improving data quality and providing vital insights.    

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be qualified with a CCAB body. Detailed knowledge of planning, budgeting and forecasting as well as sound knowledge of a broad range of technical financial skills covering risk, financial and management accounting is essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the HE sector and experience being involved in the statutory returns process. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills and be confident working with stakeholders from across the university. You will have exceptional analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
