Job Title: Financial Systems Accountant

Base location: Hook

Salary: Up to £65,000

 

As a global FTSE 250 company with over 500 contracts across 20 countries we rely on the support of our Finance Services Team to keep the business running smoothly and efficiently. As the Group Financial Systems Accountant, you will be an integral part of our high profile and specialist Group Finance Team. The core focus of the role will be to become a subject matter expert in our financial reporting and planning systems and to help drive our agenda of continuous improvement and enhancement. You'll work closely with our Group and divisional finance teams, both in the UK and globally. You'll also work closely with our IT specialists and technical support teams, becoming a key part of the bridge between Finance and IT. As a key member of the team, you will be actively involved in key projects to enhance and develop our reporting and analysis tools and will also become a key point of contact for our teams on a day to day basis.

What you'll need to do the role

Firstly, you'll need to be a qualified accountant with a track record of bridging the gap between IT and Finance within a complex business environment. You'll need a strong understanding of Finance Systems (preferably SAP ECC; BW; BPC) beyond basic end user capabilities and end to end processes in a global company environment. You'll also need a good understanding of financial accounting (IFRS) from a Reporting and planning perspective. Lastly, this role provides excellent career opportunities for a motivated candidate to progress across the Global business so you'll need to be a good team player with the ability to build strong relationships across the business with both Finance and Non Finance colleagues.
