Job Description

Job Title: Fleet Services Reporting Analyst - 18 month Fixed Term Contract

Base location: UK flexible

Salary: Up to £38,000


Key purpose    

The Road Transport and Dangerous Goods Service line within Serco is responsible for the management of all fleet assets within the UK. As the Service line responsibilities increase, the department are enhancing Serco's Fleet Management System (FMS) to enable the digitisation of the fleet management processes. These range from driver management, vehicle services, maintenance to managing vehicle stock levels for supplies and parts.


As the Fleet Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for developing the reporting infrastructure to enable automated, and self-service reporting for Fleet Services, enabling the team to manage their operations. You will also focus on carrying out analysis on key objectives for the Fleet leadership team to help drive performance improvement across the service and reduce costs. You'll work closely with the Technology team to develop the data warehouse infrastructure and develop reporting and analysis products for the Fleet Services team, developing a saleable and enterprise fit reporting & analytics platform.

What you'll need to do the role

Firstly, you'll need knowledge and experience of development within BI platforms and tools with strong data visualisation presentation skills and data manipulation skills, including ability to extract, transform, and analyse multiple large data sets. You'll be able to translate complex data into a simple, easy to understand format for non-technical customers, and senior leaders. You'll need experience of breaking down complex issues and develop solutions based on findings in the data. Lastly, it's highly advantageous if you have experience of using SAP Business Warehouse, Business Objects, SAP Analytics Cloud and/or Microsoft Power BI.
