FM Services Officer

HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottinghamshire

Full-Time (Mon-Fri 8-16.30)/ Permanent

Up to £25,755 per annum + Benefits

 

Here at Serco we're looking for an FM Services Officer to join us at HMP Lowdham Grange in Nottinghamshire. You will be forming part of a Works Service Team of multi skilled engineers that will assist in any and all maintenance jobs across the prison.

The postholder will carry out all duties assigned to you in a safe manner, observing all statutory and local regulations, operate machine tools safely and according to your training and ensure all pre planned maintenance schedules are kept up to date and maintained as required.

 

What you'll need to do the role

First and foremost, you'll need to have worked in a similar role or have experience in general metal work, fabrication and locksmith applications. This will include the ability to understand technical drawings and technical specifications. Ideally you will have worked within security, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.

You will be flexible, proactive, committed to customer satisfaction, self-motivated and have the ability to work to tight timescales. We are looking for someone that can communicate at all levels, build strong working relationships and be a team member of the facilities out of hours call out roster.

 

As part of this you'll:

  • Maintain records of tools and report as required.
  • Escort contractors around the site as and when required as per written instructions.
  • Completed a recognised course in lock repair and maintenance
  • Should understand basic codes of practice associated with metal fabrication.
