Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to oversee a high volume, 24/7 unit based in Durham.

We provide services for the Amazon associates 24 hours, 7 days a week with a vending service of hot beverages, cold beverages and confectionary. We have a set formula to deliver the catering services across all of our Amazon FCs. You will be part of the Amazon management team delivering to Amazon associates on a daily basis. This is a fast paced service and you will need to have experience within a fulfilment centre or distribution centre. You will be responsible to manage all aspects of the service with a team of around 40 which includes a Head Chef and Duty Manager.

As the General Manager, you will oversee the full catering services on-site, lead and manage a motivated, trained team with the appropriate skills to deliver a profitable unit and ensure all budget targets and KPI's are not just achieved but exceeded. Ambitious and commercially aware, with the presence and personality to influence the day to day business, you'll maximise the performance of your team. Leading by example and setting high standards, you'll enhance sales and provide our associates with great service while delivering the agreed specification and brand identity. 

Who you are:
  • Previous Catering Management experience
  • Chef Experience (advantageous)
  • Experience with building client relationships
  • Highly motivated
  • Financial awareness to complete weekly business returns and full accountability for P&L
  • Motivated to deliver consistently high standards of food and service quality
  • Friendly and approachable, with the management skills to develop and manage a team
  • Experience within fulfilment or distribution centres
