We have a fantastic opportunity for a creative Designer to join our Proposal Development Centre (PDC),  a high performing specialist unit, focused on the creation and production of sales documents across Compass UK&I. The team work nationally, managing high value bids, proposals and presentations across multiple sectors.

More about the role:

You will support sales and operations teams to design concepts for bid documents which have high visual impact. The role will support throughout the bid process creating visual and creative content for bid documents, presentations and infographics.  

This role will report into the Bid Team Leader, working in conjuction with Proposal Managers. A flexible approach is required to accommodate the peaks and troughs of the bid lifecycle. 

You will need to be up to date with industry leading software and technologies (Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) with proven graphic designing experience.

You will support the bid team with creative concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts and once approved taking them through the typesetting, printing, and final layout processes.

Who you are:

You have a portfolio of conceptual thinking and innovative graphic design. You are passionate about inspiring clients through creative design.  You enjoy keeping up to date with emerging trends in the design industry and mentoring other Designers.  You will also:

  • Be able to deal effectively with senior staff
  • Ability to manage and adapt to change
  • Ability to manage and work within changing environment
  • Manage own time and workload effectively
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong design management skills
  • Excellent people management skills with strong tact and diplomacy
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop would be useful.
  • Experience with digital photography
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, associated media requirements, and best practices
  • Experience designing for web and mobile interfaces
  • Video editing software
  • Interactive pdf documents
