Looking for a quality life/work balance? Most ESS Military sites operate on single shifts. No more split shifts or late night finishes*! Working only 2 weekend out of every 4 if required

*Occasional late finish and flexibility required.

ESS are looking or a talented and passionate Head Chef to join the Catering Brigade at - RAF Chicksands Bedfordshire

Pay Rate: £13.00 Per Hour

Weekly Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

JFC Chicksands is a military base near Shefford. The base is fully operational and feeds and accommodates up to 1000 Service personnel. The primary role of Chicksands is to train all 3 services (Army/Navy & RAF) and to promote, protect and restore the health of service personnel to ensure that they are ready and medically fit to go where they are required in the UK and throughout the world; generally referred to as being fit for task'.

Main Responsibilities

As a talented Head Chef, you will support the daily catering operation, assisting with improving the customer food service experience by delivering a best in class food offer, to military and civilian personnel but also have the chance to demonstrate your creative side with providing great food for banquets and functions.

The Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have good culinary and catering management skills with an attention to detail, be a team player and be capable of leading a small team. As a Sous Chef, it is desirable to have an NVQ level 2/3 qualification in food preparation and cooking, however, if you have the passion and drive to succeed as one of our chefs, there are various apprenticeship opportunities within our Company.
