Here at Serco, we have created a new role, Head of Asset Management and Compliance, to provide a central focus and co-ordination to ensure the Health BU delivers on our contractual obligations in respect of Asset Management and Lifecycle plans.


The successful candidate will lead on all Asset Management and Lifecycle matters, proactively leading the incumbent teams to deliver our obligations, whilst optimising income opportunities and mitigating commercial risk. Reporting to the Estates & Assets Director, you will lead on Serco Health's asset digitisation strategy and establish and lead the Health Asset Management Forum, liaising with and supporting the operational teams in respect of all associated matters.


You will develop a strategy to optimise our potential project income, whilst mitigating our commercial risks from deferred investment by our SPV customers.


This is demanding leadership role so you must have excellent knowledge of the Healthcare Estates and Engineering systems and an understanding of appropriate technical standards (HTMs etc.) Your working knowledge of Asset Management and Lifecycle systems and experience in a complex asset environment will ensure you can deliver on:


  • Support the site based Hard FM teams to deliver improvement on our Lifecycle reporting obligations and standardised policies and procedures.
  • Support and develop the site teams and their knowledge and application of Asset Management and Lifecycle.
  • Identify any training and awareness needs and develop a sustainable training programme to meet the needs of the appropriate stakeholders, across all sites. 
  • Ensure all opportunities are optimised to generate project income and ensure sustainable and appropriate margins are realised at account level.


What you'll need to do the role:


You will hold extensive experience in a complex asset environment with success in managing relationships at all levels of the organisation and demonstrate natural ability to exert collaborative influence with stakeholders.


Excellent analytical skills with ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate key messages simply, commercially astute and financially aware with proven strategy development and execution.


Strong track record of developing effective collaborations/partnerships and building consensus in cross-cultural and cross-functional environments.


Finally, flexibility is a must - travel to Health locations in the UK.
