Job Title: Head of Risk, UK & Europe
Base location: Home based with UK travel
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 per annum plus attractive benefits

Serco has committed to the development and implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management approach aligning risk, compliance assurance, business continuity, insurance activities and other key functions. As the Head of Risk, you will play a key role in leading the design and implementation of Serco's risk culture and measure and report on its effectiveness.
We'll be looking for you to use your expertise to develop and drive implementation of risk management best practice and to ensure Divisional risk teams are appropriately engaged in risk reviews and mitigation and support. You'll also support and develop the educational programme and training for ERM.
What you'll need to do the role
Firstly, you'll need membership of a relevant professional body such as Airmic, ICA, IRM or IIA. You will have a good understanding of the corporate needs of organisations of similar size and breadth in the areas of risk management, ideally with ERM experience. You will be well versed in the impact of risk in a business and able to demonstrate understanding of risk process theories/practices, with the professional gravitas to deliver operational deployment in practice. Lastly, you'll need a good knowledge of the sectors we work in, understand business partnering, demonstrate a track record of management in compliance in similar environments and a comprehensive understanding of risk types and how they impact a business.
