We are looking to recruit 3 Health Improvement Coaches to support the development and delivery of our tier 2 adult weight management service in the Public Health team at Wiltshire Council.
About the role
There will be one post to support our current model of group support, one post to develop and deliver a weight management programme for post-natal women and one post to develop and deliver a weight management programme for adults with learning disabilities. These posts will be for a 12 month contract, with the possibility for extension depending on funding.
This is a unique opportunity for those that are passionate about weight management and supporting and engaging people to make healthy lifestyle changes and tackling health inequalities. Each of the roles will involve delivering a multi component weight management programme including information on nutrition, physical activity, emotional wellbeing and behaviour change.
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about public health and behaviour change, are excellent communicators, have experience delivering group sessions or training and an understanding of healthy eating and weight management. You will motivate and build confidence to support clients to lose weight and maintain that weight loss.
