We are looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join our Building team based in Huntingdon, with the view of providing functional Health & Safety advice, guidance and coaching to Project Teams. This role will offer you the opportunity to learn and develop whilst working with an established team of Project Health, Safety and Wellbeing Managers and Advisors.
Our Building team have created inspiring places to work including Norton Folgate in London and Unity Place in Swindon.
This is a key role in establishing and maintaining the highest Health and Safety standards for the Project and assist in the development of an Injury-Free Environment.
What you'll do:
- Monitor the project, trade contractors, designers, suppliers and assisting the Procurement Team
- Liaise with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties
- Advise, guide and coach personnel with the implementation of the Company Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Assist the Project teams with the production, review and implementation of the Construction Phase Plan / Project Execution Plan
- Liaise with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties
- Communicate effectively (Accurate, Relevant and Timely) with your line manager, particularly with the escalation of accidents and incidents
- Ensure that accidents and incidents are investigated and the findings communicated in accordance with Business Unit timescales
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience working with a principal contractor on projects within the built environment
- The candidate must be able to obtain security clearance
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Technician grade membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or above
- Working towards chartered membership of IOSH – CMIOSH
Security Clearance
This role requires Cabinet Office security clearance. You should be aware that this has specific UK residency requirements of 5 years for SC or 10 years for DV; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and therefore would not be eligible to undertake the role. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
