We work closely with our customers across a broad range of sectors to develop new and existing vehicle conversions. As technology advances or the intended role of the vehicle changes, we upgrade and commission the vehicle to the new specified level.

We are looking for a HGV 1 Car Transporter Driver to join the team in Walsall and be responsible for the delivery of products to our customers. In addition to driving duties may include, planning delivery schedules and routes, loading and unloading goods/vehicles. You may be required to travel to a location specified in order to carry out your duties.

Responsibilities

  • Planning delivery schedules and routes with Transport Managers
  • Supervising or helping to load and unload goods or vehicles
  • Making sure loads are safely secured
  • The safe transportation of goods/vehicles to desired destination - nationwide
  • Following traffic reports and changing your routes if necessary
  • Completing delivery paperwork and log books
  • Communication with destination site prior to setting off on journey

What do I need to do the role?

You will hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and Full Clean Driving License (HGV Class 1). You will have experience of Heavy Goods Delivery transporting vehicles, planning and delivery of goods/products. Experience of working in an automotive / engineering environment is desirable.

You will have excellent driving skills and road safety knowledge, the ability to work alone and concentrate for long periods, and a polite manner with customers. You will have the ability to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately, develop and maintain good internal relationships, and act as a credible representative of the company to external parties.

What else do I need to know?

You will work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with overtime as and when required. You must have the physical ability to load vehicles onto a transporter tri-axle trailer. Lastly, you must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role
