Job Description

We are seeking an experience IBM Planning Analytics Consultant to join our team in Capita Consulting.

Within Capita Consulting we strive for excellence in all the delivery work we undertake. A key part of that is our Solutions Support team who specialise in supporting Planning, Data and Analytical Solutions within the business. This position is a senior member of that Solutions support team in terms of customer engagement and technical expertise for problem resolution.

This is a Home-Based 6 month FTC role (with potential for extension). What you'll be doing :

  • IBM TM1/ Planning Analytics in support capacity
  • Deliver support, diagnosis and fixing of existing products, solutions and services installations.
  • This may range from simple fixes to the development of innovative solutions which improve client and Capita outcomes.
  • Configuring, deployment, user-training, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing and new installations.
  • Delivering appropriate and timely solutions together with excellent technical and computer skills that facilitate working directly with users to troubleshoot and resolve software and solutions issues.
  • This role may require an element of on-call and weekend / shift support to troubleshoot and remediate severity 1, 2 support incidents. These will be planned by the Service Delivery Manager and rotas agreed with the Solutions Support team.

What we're looking for :

Essential Technical Skills

  • IBM Cognos Planning Analytics (TM1)
  • PAW/PAX experience
  • Extensive Upgrades and Installation experience (up to date technical understanding)
  • Knowledge of ETL and data integration
  • Database Skills (SQL Server, Oracle)

Other Desirable Technical Skills

  • Cognos Enterprise Planning
  • IBM Cognos 10/11/12 suite
  • BI Reporting in any of (Cognos Analytics, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Other Planning tools (e.g. Anaplan)

Non-Technical Skills & Experience

  • Good experience and understanding of Business Financial Processes, (Accountancy)
  • Ability to self-manage and work without direct supervision on customer sites
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on the severity of the support call
  • Producing solution support documentation
  • Support and diagnosis on existing Planning/TM1 installations
