We are looking for a creative and forward thinking individual to lead a team that is passionate about improving the lives of older people living in our sheltered housing schemes and in the wider community within Cambridge.  As an Independent Living Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing and developing the independent living service, working closely with both internal and external partners to ensure high standards of service are provided to older and vulnerable people across the City.

As a key part of a management team that oversees the day to day running of the city’s sheltered housing schemes, community alarms and visiting support services, you will use your previous experience of staff management and supervision to encourage the training and development of the Independent Living Facilitators– motivating them to deliver service outcomes.

We will look to you to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external agencies to ensure a co-ordinated approach to meeting our Service Users’ need, including; GP’s, District Nurses, CPN’s, Social Care, Housing Advice, City Homes, Environmental Health and Safer Communities teams. With a proven record of providing customer focussed services and dealing with difficult and complex situations to provide solutions, you will lead on projects and new initiatives in line with council priorities to provide better services for our customers.

If you have a commitment for promoting high service standard for older and vulnerable people within the community, we’ll give you a warm welcome – and access to a range of benefits including generous annual leave, pension, discounts on public transport and opportunities for flexible working.
