Job Description

Join us as an Innovation Designer

  • In this key role, you’ll provide the service design  of sponsored innovation projects, including problem solving and ensuring a consistent high standard of outputs from initial concept to first market launch
  • Conduct user research to discover customer insights and  inspire new perspectives and ideas, sharing them within the team and other key areas of the Group
  • Anticipate and respond to changing customer demands and disruptive technologies
  • Create new service concepts and designs on a range of innovation projects, solutions and communications

What you'll do

As an Innovation  Designer, you’ll support the development of high-priority innovation projects within the Open Experience (OX) team working across our brands and with our global partners to drive the creative vision of brand-new and exciting products and services..

Additionally, you’ll be:

  • Build and maintain OX design capability, including creative visioning, insight development and design of innovation projects
  • Support design research, including ethnographic and user research, for actionable customer insights for innovation projects
  • Develop tools and processes that encourage human centred design in all our work and throughout the organisation
  • Proactively build internal and external relationships, working in partnership to solve tomorrow’s challenges
  • Provide stakeholder management of team members and innovation stakeholders

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll be qualified to degree level in design with expertise and fluency across human centred design methods and disciplines. We’ll expect you to have experience of leading highly creative work and managing multiple projects at once. And, you’ll also have excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Additionally, you’ll need:

  • Expertise and fluency across design thinking and human centred design methods
  • A good understanding of innovation processes within large organisations
  • Experience of developing highly innovative work and managing multiple projects at once
  • Experience in a fast paced, data-driven environment
  • Strong demonstrable design and user research background, experience developing customer facing digital applications and products
