Integrated Respiratory Practitioner - Physiotherapist or Nurse

Job Description

This is a highly varied and patient-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. You will be expected to travel to different locations across the county, including patients' homes, clinics, and virtual settings.

Key responsibilities include:
   Delivering respiratory care across a range of settings including home visits, community clinics, and virtual sessions

   Supporting the delivery of Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes, including education and exercise classes

   Performing assessments and reviews for patients requiring home oxygen therapy, including the use of blood gases to guide treatment

   Working closely with acute hospital respiratory teams to provide integrated care

   For Physiotherapists: managing patients with complex presentations such as breathing pattern disorders and sputum retention

You will also have the opportunity to rotate across the four arms of the service depending on your professional background and clinical experience:

1.    Home Oxygen Assessment and Management
2.    Respiratory Assessment and Treatment Clinics
3.    Pulmonary Rehabilitation
4.    Specialist Physiotherapy Clinics

The respiratory service specialises in caring for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Asthma, Bronchiectasis and Pulmonary Fibrosis.
