Would you like to lead the delivery of the UK Lighting Integration Programme? We currently have a vacancy for an Integration Project Manager at our site in Samlesbury.

As a Integration Project Manager, you will be you will be leading the delivery of the UK Lightning Integration (UKLI) programme, ensuring that the information capabilities required are further developed to support BAE Systems' strategic intent within the F-35 programme.

As part of the UKLI team you will be working closely with the UK MOD Lightning Delivery team (LDT) to provide the engineering rigour and support required to bring the F-35 Lightning II capability into the UK, specifically integrating the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) into the UK information environment.

Reporting into the DI & IMT US Programmes Portfolio Manager, you will lead a team of 18 people and use a Test & Evaluation (T&E) approach and system integration events to help de-risk the Lightning Sustainment System of Systems.

The role is high-profile and enables BAE Systems Air strategy to maintain our excellent reputation with UK MOD.

This role will provide you with the scope to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge in Project Management, allowing you to explore routes to Project Management Chartership (if not yet achieved).

Your main responsibilities as a Integration Project Manager will involve:

Overall leadership of the UKLI project team, including 18 team members and functional support

Building long term customer relationships based on honest and open communication

Taking a global perspective on where the ALIS de-risking activities fit with the global F-35 programme and the opportunity this presents to demonstrate a discriminating F-35 sustainment capability

Management of UKLI project delivery, planning and monitoring

Managing UKLI project budget and high-level schedule

Identification, development and management of stakeholder relationships - both internal to BAE Systems and external (UK MOD, Lockheed Martin)

Holding regular reviews to identify areas for improvement

Accurate reporting of project status to the UKLI team, the leadership teams in DI & IM&T, and all external stakeholders

Leading & supporting project quality and lifecycle management reviews as appropriate. Applying appropriate tailoring practises to UKLI.

Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities, together with future growth opportunities

Managing product safety reviews and SHE

Mentoring of team members, providing guidance and support

Leading campaigns for follow-on business

Engaging with the DE&S customer to agree the scope of future work

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Project management and team leadership

Project management techniques and tools

Decision-making and leadership

Stakeholder Management

Desirable:

Strategic planning, risk management and change management

Working to quality standards and qualifications, AS9100 desirable

Deliver on commitments within agreed budgets and timescales

Involve representatives from stakeholders groups in decision making processes to generate enthusiasm, ownership and personal commitment to implementation

Influence and listen to our customers and stakeholders

Project Management Qualification (e.g. APM or Prince 2)

What we're looking for in you:

You will be a leader with a 'can do attitude' who has excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills allowing you to work with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to navigate this multidisciplinary, multi organisation environment.

Frequent Travel both National and potentially internationally will be required.

Salary: £49,600
