Exciting opportunity for a career driven, tech savvy, entrepreneurial and innovative IS Business Analyst to join our Contract Logistics business unit at Kuehne+Nagel!


As IS Business Analyst, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver functional requirements and use cases, evolving the details of user stories through discussion with, to deliver detailed understanding for and to internal SME's. You will perform functional review and analysis of UK Contract Logistics IS products and provide configuration guides to support business requirements and design (including mock-up), assist in developing test plans, creation and maintenance of configuration documentation, procedures and guidelines. You will Identify and document issues whilst recommending resolutions and documentation and creation of integration mapping requirements from customer to internal products. Resource dimensions you will work with include UK Contract Logistics IS - Technical Solution Team; WMS Technology - Blue Yonder Dispatcher, SwiftLOG, CIEL; TMS - Oracle Transport Management; In-Cab Technology - Microlise; OMS - SAP/Stirling *Please note this role requires full security clearance and therefore we are unable to consider applicants requiring visa sponsorship on this occasion.


  • Work with product SME's (WMS/TMS/OMS) to develop functional templates aligned to sector requirements
  • Work with local and corporate teams to ensure that requirement capture covers core elements (Functional, User Cases, Story Boards)
  • Translate high level business requirements into low-level requirements for SME's
  • Collaborates with team members to create detailed functional and/or technical specifications
  • Work with other internal functions to drive a standardised approach to requirements provision.
  • Ensure compliance with Kuehne-Nagel strategy, policies and architecture principals and legislative requirements.
  • Work with business owners to ensure application functional catalogues are created, communicated and champion this within the user community.
  • Contribute to the smooth transition of all development changes from software providers through to deployment into business as usual support.


  • Demonstrable expert-level knowledge of business analysis with a formal business analysis qualification.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the building of propositional use cases and storyboards and a proven track record in integration mapping and specification design
  • A proven ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements for internal or external delivery
  • A demonstrable understanding of the tools and techniques used to integrate disparate applications and services
  • A keen attention to detail whilst maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture
  • An ability to communicate highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience, fostering strong relationships and navigating conflicting opinions and priorities
  • An ability to understand and apply internal and external policy or legislative requirements to services within the portfolio
    Knowledge of best practice methodologies for the definition and road mapping of services.
