Career Teachers are working with a lovely Infant School based in Featherstone, who require a Year 1 Teacher to start in May. The assignment will run until the end of the Academic year in July. The school is an inclusive 2 form-entry with supportive staff who work together to ensure the very best outcomes for their classes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to Year 1 students, creating a positive and engaging learning environment, and supporting the individual needs of each child in this Primary School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student learning and well-being
- Participate in school events, extra-curricular activities, and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning
- Creative and innovative teaching approaches
