Lead Security Optimisation Manager - Remote/Hybrid working
Salary £47,322 with guaranteed pay progression after 12 months, 10% annual bonus potential with 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.

Reporting to the Senior Security Convergence Manager, you will identify vulnerabilities, design out weaknesses, and embed security into every aspect of our network and transformation plans.

About the role
Lead Security Optimisation: Drive identification, assessment, and implementation of security improvements across Royal Mail's operational network and transformation initiatives, including our Out of Home Strategy.
Embed Security by Design: Collaborate with product owners, architects, and transformation leads to integrate security into new projects and initiatives.
Risk Management: Provide expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between the Security Convergence Team and operational leaders, fostering strong relationships and influencing decision-making.
Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain metrics and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate progress and value to the business.
Incident Response: Support during security-critical incidents, coordinating response efforts and ensuring clear communication.
About You
Expert knowledge of digital platforms, enterprise suites, and future technology initiatives.
Expertise in project management, including reporting on key metrics.
Ability to think creatively, proactively identify risks, and implement effective mitigations.
Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Calm, decisive, and adaptable under pressure, with flexibility to pivot focus during business-critical situations.
Experience in strategic security management. Highly desirable.
