Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West & South East of England and is now seeking to recruit a reliable and committed full time Learning Facilitator/MISCO to support the function of the education department at HMP Coldingley.
HMP Coldingley is a Category C training and resettlement prison for adult males. It is located in the village of Bisley in Surrey close to both Woking and Guildford.
This post is for 37 hours per week.
The successful applicant will be required to promote and support engagement with learning that is flexible and responsive to the needs of all learners and the wider prison community. You will work collaboratively with curriculum and prison staff as well as partner agencies to promote, facilitate and support access to learning that maximises engagement and progression including the use of the Virtual Campus for learning, resettlement and employment. The range of activities will vary according to the individual prison and the changing population priorities.
The role will also support the curriculum management team and tutors in the everyday running of the department including to develop and maintain an efficient and effective administrative office to support the work of the Prison Education Framework (PEF) team and to administer the processing and handling of student data in order to produce accurate and valid individualised learner record returns.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1 years’ experience within an administrative environment and be a very competent IT user. Experience working in an education setting would be beneficial.
