The Division of Occupational Therapy is seeking to recruit a fixed-term full-time post at Lecturer level in the Occupational Therapy team to cover maternity leave. The applicant will have opportunities to develop teaching, learning and leadership skills working under the direction of the Divisional Lead.
We are seeking applications from hardworking occupational therapists who will enhance the reputation of the Division through their research and innovative teaching, promoting effective student engagement in learning. Applicants will be an occupational therapist with a CPD portfolio commensurate with research-led clinical practice and education. We welcome applications from occupational therapists with professional experience of research and working in services relevant to the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy education. You will need to be able to work within a team and communicate effectively, with the ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines.

You will be contributing to the delivery and ongoing development of high-quality occupational therapy programmes. You will also support the development of the learning opportunities within the Division and support students in practice, visiting them whilst on placement to ensure the achievement of the RCOT, ACOTE and HCPC standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an occupational therapist to develop their research and educational skills. You will be part of a diverse, innovative and supportive Division focusing on developing the occupational therapy research base and delivering evidence-based teaching and learning opportunities to students.
You will also be a registered Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or international equivalent. Applicants should be able to provide leadership at programme level and have significant experience of teaching a range of topics in occupational therapy education.
An essential requirement is for the successful applicant to satisfy the requirements of checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
