This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, innovative and forward-thinking Legal team within Wiltshire Council.
We are an experienced team of Legal Support administrators undertaking all admin and support functions for the Solicitors, Legal Executives and Paralegals within the Legal Department.
About the role
This role is very varied and busy as you carry out daily support functions for a department of around 74 Lawyers. The areas of work cover all aspects of Legal requirements, office administration and financial on a daily basis and under tight deadlines.
Due to the nature of the role working in a Legal environment is very demanding with many interruptions where an individual will need to think on their feet and be prepared to leave one task to complete another more urgent.
You will be well organised, flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure dealing with last minute workloads in a busy environment. Ideally you should be a fast learner and worker with an ability to retain information, strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential as are good inter-personal skills and an ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
You will be educated to GSCE standard with good results and must have a minimum of one year’s administrative experience preferably within a Legal environment.
We will look to you to possess good IT skills, including a good all-round experience of using Microsoft Office packages ideally including case management systems.
Interviews will be held following shortlisting.
