Logistics Operative - Driver
Would you like to influence and drive continual improvements within the logistics function? We currently have a vacancy for a Logistics Operative - Driver at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.
As a Logistics Operative - Driver you will be working alongside other Logistics Operatives within the wider Logistics team servicing our customers. You will be responsible for managing the control of materials, tools and consumables from receipt to despatch / delivery whilst maintaining system applications.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in an interesting role because of the ability to contribute to the manufacturing of world class submarines across multiple programmes; this role is very varied due to the nature of the tasks and the possibility of self-development.
Your main responsibilities as a Logistics Operative - Driver will involve:
Undertaking a range of generic Logistic activities in a safe and professional manner
Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines
Following relevant instructions and be able to use effectively and efficiently relevant documentation and IT systems that support the logistic activities
Checking the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been finished to meet the required specification
Using associated tools and specialist equipment safely and effectively
Your skills and qualifications as a Logistics Operative - Driver :
Functional Knowledge of Logistics Transportation
Experience Driving articulated vehicles
Driving Licence which includes (Class 1) C+E and D
Valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Clean driving licence (Full UK)
Experience of contributing to continuous improvement and working within a team

You should be able to deal with internal/external stakeholders across multiple levels and functions. You will be well organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and plan accordingly
You must have strong communication skills when dealing with all levels of stakeholders.
