As a Logistics Planner, you will be supporting the factory system and be accountable for planning the parts and components to produce the aircraft. You will ensure the correct planning of this as this impacts the production line and the cost implications of the end product.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on cutting edge defence projects; this role is very varied due to the nature of the tasks and the possibility of self-development.
Your main responsibilities as a Logistics Planner will involve:
Undertaking a range of generic Logistic activities in a safe and professional manner
Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines
Following relevant instructions and be able to use effectively and efficiently relevant documentation and IT systems that support the logistic activities
Checking the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been finished to meet the required specification
Using associated tools and specialist equipment safely and effectively
Ensuring adherence to all Logistics processes (receipt, store, maintain, kit and dispatch) both physical and within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Interpreting data and providing insights on findings
Supporting management / operational reviews
Your skills and qualifications:
Understanding of Cost and Schedule performance drivers
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Excellent IT skills
Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems desirable
Supply chain, manufacturing and logistical planning experience desirable

You should be able to deal with internal/external stakeholders across multiple levels and functions. You will be well organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and plan accordingly
You must have strong communication skills when dealing with all levels of stakeholders.
