The Role – Maintenance Engineer
The Maintenance Engineer will be a multi-skilled Engineer that can assist with various areas that may need maintaining, fixing or improving within the University.
•Large redecoration works when needed
•Building fabric repairs
•Performing lock changes
•Minor electrical work
•Minor plumbing work
•Moving furniture, equipment and heavy items
•Changing filters on air conditioning systems
•Supervising contractors to ensure they are following safe systems of work
•Completing all regular safety checks
•Electrical, Plumbing or decorating skills
•Able to work as part of a team
•Good communication skills
•Strong organisational skills
•Experience of working in a similar role within the sector
•Resourceful and self-motivated
•Good attention to detail
•Physically strong – capable of working with machinery or moving heavy equipment
