Role Summary

  • To provide a full and efficient secretarial service to consultants and clinical teams.  This will include typing and personal dictation, and ensuring that all documentation (for example discharge summaries, operation notes, reports, theatre lists, outpatient clinic notes and clinic/appointment letters) is produced to an excellent standard
  • Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
  • Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy
  • Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times

To support the Haematology and Oncology Senior Medical Secretaries predominantly Northern but sometime Eastern ( by computer no travelling)  and back up support for the Seamoor Unit Administrative Team 

Working Pattern: 30 hours per week Mon-Fri 5 hours per day - can be discussed

This is a fixed term contract for 12months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers)
