Would you like a fulfilling role that supports those with ill mental health to regain choice and control of their lives?  If so, then we want to hear from you.

The Mental Health Outreach Worker is a rewarding but at times challenging role, which requires someone who is experienced, empathetic and resilient in supporting people experiencing a mental health crisis. The role requires you to take an assertive approach by providing practical support using person led and task centred practices to signpost and assist clients in identifying and actioning possible solutions to support them through their crisis.

The position is part of our Mid Essex Sanctuary service which aims to support individuals who are living with long-term, complex mental health problems who find themselves in crisis. These individuals may be under the care of other services or may have been excluded from available services. Individuals who have never experienced poor mental health but still find themselves in a crisis can also be referred into the service.

Referrals are received via the NHS 111 option 2 service, mental health teams and mental health liaison which are supported by our emotional support team, if it is felt it will be beneficial a referral will be made to the outreach team.

We are a real living wage employer and offer our staff a range of health, wellbeing, lifestyle and financial benefits to ensure that we fully support our employees.

This includes:
