The Monitoring Solutions Team play an exciting and unique role in the delivery of services to Santander customers. Using our broad range of skills, operational knowledge and customer focus we develop, implement and maintain a wide range of software and open-source platforms that visualise the real-time availability and performance of infrastructure, applications and customer experience.

Actively collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation our solutions provide monitoring, notification channels, dashboards, reporting, tracing and trending across service delivery channels, translating technical information into meaningful business and customer insight.
The difference you'll make:
- Using your extensive knowledge of monitoring policies, principles and administration skills, you'll ensure the platform is operational and always ready to exploit new features
- Working with colleagues and provide on-call support to help deliver a reliable, pro-active and integrated monitoring platform
- Utilising source control to change manage collection scripts
- Managing incoming requests to implement new data collections and website reports
- Implementing new reporting options within the website based on user requirements
- Leading with a significant focus on continual service improvement
What you'll bring:
- Experience with scripting, SQL, REST APIs, webhooks, Python, PHP
- Experience with automated notification tools such as PagerDuty and application performance, real-user and synthetic transaction monitoring tools such as Dynatrace
- Analytical & problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and Able to articulate business service impact from component metrics
- Experience in delivering, measuring and reporting on continual service improvement initiatives in an ITIL environment
- Awareness of DevOps principles and ALM tools, including use of Ansible, Jira, Confluence, GIT HUB, automation tools
- Good knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux and data centre estate
It would also be nice for you to have:
- ITIL Knowledge
- Database Administration
- Cloud native Coverage and AWS

This role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

1st Stage - Technical Interview - this will a 30min technical interview with one of the team
2nd Stage - A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation.
