About the role

In this role you will work collaboratively within the St Kilda team to support across all aspects of the St Kilda Operation to ensure that the site infrastructure and Trials equipment baseline are maintained and available to deliver the Hebrides Range test and evaluation business requirements.

The role incumbent will form part of a month on month off shift roster team living on the remote site.

What do I need?

  • Ability to work as part of a shift roster team via a month on/month off deployment to a remote site (St Kilda) 12 months a year.
    * Engineering / Technical qualification: Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (in a relevant discipline electrical/mechanical).
    * Hold a qualification in power generation (Mechanical/Electrical)
    * Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, electrical or mechanical services)
    * Competent Microsoft Office Suite User
    * Ability to solve problems and make decisions
    * Full clean driving license
    * Hold HUET certification, or demonstrate ability to achieve

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
* Strong Electrical maintenance bias
* Authorised Person Working at Height
* Plant operator certified
* RYA powerboat certificate
* Oil Spill response (MCA Counter Pollution Training)
* Formal Health &Safety training (IOSH)
* Tower climbing and rescue certified
* Enhanced First Aid
* VHF Radio license

What will I be doing?

You'll be helping to deliver planned, statutory and planned maintenance across the St. Kilda infrastructure facilities. Mainly in electrical systems. You'll be delivering tasks within ground operations, supporting helicopter and ship resupply operations. There may be the opportunity to extend to other sites within the UK business during periods of peak activity.
