We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our small and friendly team at the Garrett Anderson. With your flexible approach to work, you will carry out essential maintenance including electrical, mechanical and building maintenance, repairs and replacement.
Key Responsibilities
The main aspect of this position will be to provide maintenance services for buildings, plant and services in compliance with H&S and other regulatory requirements, to provide efficient, effective and compliant service delivery
We will look to you to also contribute to creation and updating of the Planned Maintenance plan; undertake implementation of Minor Works and projects; provide advice on Environmental Conditions, impacts and Energy Management; and monitor sub-contractors, both in and out of hours.
What do we need from you?
We're on the lookout for someone who ideally has relevant qualifications & certifications for mechanical, electrical or building maintenance; and who has ideally held a similar position in a healthcare environment. Ideally you will have an understanding of HTM (Healthcare Technical Memorandums) codes of practise, but will be familiar with codes of practice such as L8.
Part of this means being happy to join the out of hours (on call) rota and to undertake any training deemed required by the service. You may be required to travel and stay away from home at times, and you should ideally be able to attend site within 30 minutes when called out of hours.
