Job Description

Are you working in office administration and looking for a change? Do you enjoy communicating with, and helping others? If so, Saba are currently recruiting for an Office Administrator at our Slough contract.

 

What will you be doing?

 

The primary role is to provide a high standard of administration and to carry out all the tasks according to the Slough Contract’s Notice Processing/Enforcement Procedures and individual guidelines (in line with government legislation).

 

As the Office Administrator, you will be actively involved in supporting the organisation in promoting a positive health and safety culture, ensuring an effective means of hazard reporting and closure of any issues arising.  You will also need to ensure that the Fleet & Health and Safety Manager is consulted prior to acquiring any new equipment and machinery ensuring Health and Safety implications are considered as a priority.

 

Reporting to the Contract Manager, this is a zero-hour contract. You will need to be able to demonstrate a very flexible approach to your working hours. As you will be working with cash, any offer of employment will be subject to criminal record and credit checks.

 

What skills or experience will you need?

 

You will need to work as a multi-functional and flexible member of the Customer Service team, capable of working effectively in a multi-functional environment whilst assisting in the management of queries and effectively resolving solutions to customer problems. You will also manage informal challenge correspondence and accurately and consistently respond within the contracted timeframes specific to the contract whilst adhering to all the confidentiality requirements of the role. You will need to proactively report any contract-critical issues identified, contribute to corporate initiatives as required and conduct reasonable non-specific tasks as required, upon request of the Management Team.

 

The skills and experience required for this role include the ability to effectively and confidently communicate with members of the public, team members and the management team both verbally and non-verbally. You will also need to be able to learn, retain and access knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines pertinent to the contract on which the agent is employed at that time whilst working to deadlines and managing workloads in order to achieve the expected service levels. As Office Administrator you will also need to effectively operate a range of Information Technology Systems and software packages and complete and file reports and documentation, as necessary.

 

You will ideally be interested in the post and organisation and possess good communication skills, be reliable and flexible and have an ability to prioritise and multitask. You should have a smart and business-like appearance and attitude and possess initiative and the willingness to try new ideas. You should be able to work well under pressure, have a positive approach to staff and personal development whilst being able to liaise well with clients and other team members. Good attention to detail as well as confidence and assertiveness would be advantageous.
