Our Renewables Operations teams are responsible for operating our onshore and offshore wind and hydro fleet safely and efficiently. We carry out essential operations and maintenance to maximise asset value in a dynamic energy market.
What is the Role?
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor of the Wind Farm, you'll ensure adherence to corporate standards, policies, procedures and best practice guidelines at all times to ensure protection of the owners investment.
You'll be responsible for operations and maintenance duties, such as planned servicing and reactive works on the wind farm balance of plant assets and wider wind farm infrastructure, including the Siemens 3.6MW wind turbine generators and associated auxiliary plant, to ensure safe and efficient generation of energy.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
-Providing field and onshore support to ensure compliance across the fleet.
-Providing safety from the system and escorting contractors under the relevant operational safety rules and wind turbine safety rules.
-Building and documenting a knowledge base of technical information to assist with daily decision making and alarm action handling and will be a key input in fault analysis and rectification.
-Investigate operational incidents, gathering as much information to improve on procedures
and onward offshore activity, ensuring; safe operations, first time fix rates increase and that they
can be completed in a safe and timely manner.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, we are looking for you to have the following;
-Extensive experience within an operations and/or engineering environment.
-A solid understanding of Control Room functions and the required deliverables
-Authorisation within Wind Turbine Safety rules and Safe Systems of Work
-The ability to perform duties as a Senior Authorised Person and/or Authorised Technician in connection with WTSRs
-Full understanding of Offshore work requirements and associated SHE risks
-Working knowledge of BOP, WTG and OFTO systems
