The Emergency Department at Yeovil District Hospital are looking for motivated enthusiastic Band 5 to join their busy PAU team. This is a friendly department with a positive team ethos and strong nursing leadership (part- time or full- time considered).

There are exciting opportunities to develop via university courses towards a band 6 position on completion of MIMIC and physical assessment and clinical reasoning in children and competencies.  For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to progress your Nurse Practitioner journey.

Be able to provide, demonstrate and maintain a high standard of professional nursing care to our young patients. Demonstrate the ability to work within a team to develop your knowledge and specialist skills within ED. Provide immediate assessment, and care of paediatric patients

Initiate and participate in developments with the Ward Manager/Matron to include all aspects of the Unit, Trust Policies and Procedures.

The Yeovil Emergency department is an area of continuous development and is at the forefront of the YDH NHS Foundation Trust.  YDH are in the process of building an independent Paediatric Assessment Unit located adjacent to ED, this will be opening in Mid-2021
