Head of Performance & Compliance


Full Time, 12-month fixed term contract with possible extension, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 17.00pm

Salary up to £53,000 per annum, plus, company car

About the Role:

Due to a new contract win we are seeking a Head of Performance & Compliance to join our team. As Head of Performance & Compliance you will be working for a Central Government accommodation contract. You will report into the Contract Delivery Director.

As Head of Performance & Compliance within our Enfield branch, your main duties will include to successfully develop, implement and maintain a compliance and audit system to mitigate risk, ensure full compliance and deliver accuracy in data recording and performance reporting. To maximise performance against KPIs by collating data and making recommendations to process changes.

You ll be responsible for the following:

1.      Effectively lead, manage and motivate team to deliver in line with contractual requirements

2.    Manage and develop staff creating a positive, continuous improvement culture within the business  

3.     Successfully deliver regular reporting for key performance indicators and client reporting  

4.    Deliver reviews of monthly management accounts and performance data to ensure accuracy

5.    Undertake regular reviews of processes and ways of working to mitigate risk and service failure

6.     Ensure full compliance and effective risk management for all areas within business 

7.    Deliver regular reporting and trend analysis to teams and contract delivery director 

8.    Understand the private rented sector and adherence to current legislation    

9.      Undertake adhoc projects within MHM relating to group objectives and support in other areas of MHM.

10.     Ensure full compliance with all Mears Group policies and procedures.

Role Criteria:

  • Experience of working in residential lettings property environment
  • Experience of managing team and associated HR issues
  • Experience of process mapping
  • Experience of complaint handling and resolution
  • Knowledge and understanding of current property compliance legislation
  • Experience of process mapping
  • Experience of complaint handling and resolution
  • Knowledge of KPIs/target setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications particularly Excel
  • Able to communicate complex data and concepts in simple terms
