Job Title: Performance Reporting Project Assistant
Working as part of our Defence Systems Technology (DST) business we're looking for a Performance Reporting Project Assistant to join us in our Bristol office. DST forms a critical part of Babcock's Marine organisation. Working across a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, our 1,500 strong team operate from a number of sites across the UK and internationally ensuring our global customer portfolio is always supported.
The Marine System Support Partner (MSSP) contract involves supporting to Marine Engineering systems and equipment onboard Type 45 Destroyers and Queen Elizabeth Class Carriers Naval Platforms.
As part of this support, Babcock has been engaged to identify and propose remedial activities that are focussed on an objective of improving integrated system reliability. This activity is centred on the development of a suite of Master Equipment Briefing Sheets (MEBS) which highlight issues that are driving low reliability, and identify associated improvement action plans.
As a MSSP Performance Reporting Project Assistant, you will act as the sole focal point for the MEBS tasking. You will be liaising with the customer regarding progress of delivery and with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery in accordance with the schedule (maintaining drumbeat of refreshes).
You will also be organising and arranging of collective stakeholder engagements (when and if required), ensuring maintenance and updating of the schedule, collating reports and Monitoring and chasing addressees for updates of their action(s). This will involve liaison with members of Babcock team together with customer, supplier and other stakeholders to progress actions as required.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Quality - ensure 'Gold Standard' level is achieved with every refresh and new MEBS which may have been introduced. Consistent standard of narrative/comments made
- Coaching / articulation of requirement to new members of the team who have been assigned to MEBS input
- Potential attendance at future MoD MEBS related forums

You will also be proactive and self-motivated, possess the ability to communicate clearly and professionally and to interact with all levels of management and have a strong delivery focus, including an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

- Engineering/Technical background and/or Supply Chain knowledge and experience
