  • In this key role, you’ll be accountable for all aspects of change, run and operational health of a given platform
  • You’ll be involved in the design, architecture, build, test, implementation, risk, security, stability, resilience, simplification, efficiency, service management and life-cycling of your platform

What you'll do

In this high-profile role, you’ll oversee your platform as well as own and create the platform technical road map with the right architecture, solutions and commercial value. We’ll look to you to manage the tensions inherent in working through the implementation of competing customer priorities with the right business leaders and business product owners.

You’ll also be:

  • Leading feature teams to build and deliver the right business and customer experience improvements through a continuously prioritised pipeline of work
  • Optimising the scheduling and sequencing of initiatives and achieving agreed targets for the cycle time, risk and cost profiles of your platform
  • Delivering, owning and maintaining the platform operational stability and performance of technology, including the maintenance of any applications, systems, utilities and tools
  • Developing and maintaining a platform road map and continuously reflecting, improving and releasing value through frequent incremental release cycles

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with in-depth domain or platform product knowledge, experience and expertise, coupled with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills. In addition, you’ll need business and systems analytical skills, and a strong understanding of platform applications and services, with the ability to convert a business ask to a technical solution.

You’ll also be expected to have:

  • 12 plus years of experience in delivering technology solutions using micro service based loosely coupled architecture and BPM, workflow management or state engine technology experience
  • Operational, risk management, financial management, collaboration and negotiation experience and expertise
  • Strong leadership skills, including Agile and servant leadership experience
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple teams across multiple locations and time zones
  • An expert understanding of running large complex projects spanning multiple teams and senior governance forums
