PMO Specialist - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

With over 30,000 people in our UK Business, Serco relies on the talents of its People Services team to support on people management and employee life cycle issues. We have a number of projects and programmes aimed at transforming the way we operate, and as our PMO Specialist you will act as a central point of contact for project process queries and ensure all our processes are aligned to our project management methodology.
Supporting our HR Project Team you'll track, monitor and report on multiple projects, making sure we have effective and consistent processes for scheduling, risk management, resource management, project communications, and change control. You'll also continuously report on programme progress and delivery confidence to our Senior Leadership Team and Steering committee ensuring regular stakeholder engagement.

What you need to do the job
To be successful you will likely have relevant experience within a similar PMO position in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable in improving PMO capabilities. Whilst not essential, Project Management qualifications such as P3O/Prince2 would be highly desirable.
You'll be a proactive and driven individual, with a collaborative and inclusive approach that keeps projects moving. Technology is integral to our business (as well as our people), so the proficient use of Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Project, is vital. You will need to be analytically minded and comfortable in manipulating large data sets and complex spreadsheets.
You'll naturally be highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Our collaborative culture will require you to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders across a wide range of people and levels continuously reporting and presenting on delivery progress in a clear and concise manner.
