Join us as a Pricing Practice Lead

  • This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced team leader to build capability across the business, supporting the goals and strategy that are aligned to our purpose
  • In this franchise-wide role covering all Retail Banking products, you’ll be leading a team of pricing specialists to implement and enable the distribution of pricing decisions at scale and pace
  • You’ll be instrumental in creating a great place to work, with a culture of continuous improvement, through great people leadership, coaching, engagement and development

What you'll do

         

We’ll look to you to lead and coach a large team of pricing specialists, while making sure that the right resourcing levels are in place and the capability requirements of the team are met to deliver business requirements. You’ll be building your team's capability to meet the future needs of the Pricing strategy and plan, identifying talent and making sure that coaching and feedback loops are embedded.

Your other key responsibilities will involve:

  • Prioritising plans and making decisions on resources, delivering within risk appetite and adherence to the bank’s policy, governance and frameworks
  • Managing the delivery against agreed financial plans and learning and development budgets, including forecasting and applied governance
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships to achieve good outcomes through timely and accurate decision making
  • Driving performance management to make sure that efficiency and effectiveness are maximised within the team and managing any underperformance
  • Making sure that relevant team effectiveness interventions are in place across the business, building capability and strengthening teams

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience of successfully leading, motivating and developing large teams, together with excellent communication and influencing capabilities.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, maximise resources, prioritise activities and balance conflicting demands
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to use information to develop creative value add solutions
  • Experience and knowledge of pricing principles including fairness and risk-based pricing
  • Good knowledge of balance sheets, P&L and returns
