What you'll do
We are looking for an experienced and talented principal engineer to strengthen the API Management team.
As a Principal Software Engineer, your role is to work with the various Feature Teams to produce software rapidly and of high quality, which adds value to the business.
The main focus will be on supporting our Change Portfolio with the design and development of backend services. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the team’s solution architects in order to make their vision come true. To this end, he will guide multiple teams of software developers but also contribute hands-on.
You’ll also be:
Designing and implementing micro-services using Java and Spring technologies
Coordinating and working with multiple development teams both onsite and near-shore
Having the End-to-end responsibility for the delivery of services with high quality, on time and on budget
Delivering DevOps activities using OpenShift
Delivering Run-the-Bank activities (maintenance, bug-fixing)
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with an engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science. You’ll demonstrate a background in leading and managing software developer teams. Candidates are expected to provide strong technical skills in software development, solution design, testing, and requirements analysis. You'll require work experience with Java and API development, and ideally with the Avaloq Banking Suite (Avaloq Core Platform / Avaloq Front Platform). We’ll also look for experience in driving change through to a successful conclusion and the ability to influence at all levels.
You’ll also Need:
Proven knowledge of Java and web technologies (e.g. Java 8/11, REST, Swagger/RAML, XML, JSON) and web security (e.g. identity management, OAuth 2.0).
Excellent understanding of API design tool (e.g. Swagger tools) and API Management platformsProject management skills (nice to have)
Track record in designing and developing backend services/web services
DevOps knowledge including Docker, GitLab, Jenkins
Experience with Apache Kafka is an asset
English written and spoken on negotiation level, German is an asset
