Procurement Leader- Strategy and Supplier Risk Management

Would you like the opportunity to join an exciting team where you will face challenges in identifying and helping to mitigate supplier risk in the Submarines Supply Chain? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Leader at our site in Barrow- In -Furness, Cumbria.

As a Procurement Leader, you will be working in the Strategy, Intelligence and Risk team in the Central Supply Chain function in BAE Systems Submarines. This role is pivotal in pulling together the overall risk profile for the Supply Chain.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the different Programmes at all levels. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress within a growing department and into more strategic aspects of Supply Chain.

Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Leader will involve:

Assessing and supporting the management of supplier risk across all programmes

Identifying and supporting the development of mitigation activity for Supplier and Supply Chain fragility

Capturing Supplier risk and mitigation activities to enable an overview of overall Supply Chain risk

Developing and deploying Supply Chain risk methodology

Your skills and qualifications:

Degree educated or equivalent professional experience

Understanding of Supplier risk and risk management

IRM qualifications would be beneficial

Stakeholder management

Ability to evaluate data and information and draw evidence based conclusions and recommendations

Ability to clearly articulate and present supplier risk to Senior Managers

Experience of working within Supply Chain and a good understanding of how companies operate
