Job Description


Here at Serco we're looking for a Procurement Analyst to join the Procurement Service Team that works in partnership with Peterborough City Council. The team drives procurement transformation and efficiencies that deliver cashable savings for the council.


The role offers long term potential for growth and you'll be supported with ongoing development and training. You'll also be working with a team that has an agile working ethos and who are all hugely committed to both the commercial capability of the customer.


Working in our wider outsourced procurement team reporting to the Procurement Operations Manager, you'll contribute to the development of best in class reporting capabilities to help drive value and compliance across the client's organisation. There will be a focus on driving behaviour and benefits using data, not just the production of regular reporting. You'll also be supporting Category Management Initiatives as well as other procurement reporting.


This is a home working based/remote working role, with some requirement to attend the our offices in Peterborough on occasions.


What you need to do the job; 

You will have excellent experience capabilities with PowerBI and Microsoft Excel. You should be familiar with analysis data and we are particularly keen to hear from you if you have some Procurement and market research data analysis experience.


Naturally confident, you will be able to negotiate successfully with all stakeholders and have the gravitas to build solid relationships to leverage supplier capability. It is important that you can get the best out of practices and processes and are not afraid to challenge the status quo.
