Job Description

Reports to: Branch Manager (WD) (Hants)

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm with ½ hour lunch
Start Date: ongoing

Duties:
Day to day assignment of Production team personnel (Approx 10) to duties to achieve the branch objectives, including:
Measuring of work to be packed as necessary
Monthly stock take of materials
Liaising with Freight department, supporting packing/delivery requirements.
Managing projects on shop floor including liaising with WD and Office Administrator (OA) in order to facilitate the packing work.
Completion of the work to schedules given by WD.
Liaison with customers in person and on the telephone (mainly this undertaken by WD)
Receiving customers’ goods in for packing including checking as necessary of goods into packages
Receiving packaging materials (timber, nails etc) into stores including checking off with purchase orders
Ensuring safe working practices including Health and Safety at Work and enforcing and monitoring the wearing of issued safety equipment (PPE) as directed by the WD
Control of tools and their maintenance

Sklills
Knowledge and previous experience of working in a warehousing or factory environment are essential, to manage this busy site. The ability to manage multiple projects at once is a definite advantage.
Good IT skills are essential.
Experience with H&S training and implementation are required as well as good people management skills with experience in staff disciplinary matters.

Qualifications
Counter-balance forklift truck license. Preferred but not essential.

UK Driving license.
