Programme Manager – Growth & Innovation

Job Description

Role Purpose: 
The purpose of the Growth & Innovation team is to support growth in markets through an engaging forum and thought leadership programme, as well as supporting specific innovation projects in markets. 
The aim is to:-
  • facilitate the surfacing and sharing of best practice; 
  • create strong communities across sectors and disciplines;
  • enable co-creation across markets and sectors; 
  • challenge the Compass business to think about the future and how we need to meet our clients' challenges; 
  • support the elevation of Compass to Trusted Advisor status with clients;
  • and inform consumer proposition development in market and in unit to optimise revenue and experience
This role supports specific forums, communities and thought leadership activity, as well as innovation projects. It sits within a team of SMEs who are supporting the execution of the overall team programme which is driven by two Business Excellence Directors and the Group Director, Growth & Innovation.

Main Duties:
  • To manage the forum and community programme for specific group of forums and communities, ensuring that:-
Administratively executed in a professional way to drive the desired strategic outcomes for that forum / community 
Pre-and post-forum communication is undertaken in a timely way to drive widest possible engagement. 
Momentum is achieved and maintained on any workstream activity, driving outcomes.
Accurate records are made of planning sessions & oversight of actions maintained.
Attendee lists are maintained and regularly reviewed with chairs.
  • To bring forward thinking from one forum to another, surfacing to chairs and participants appropriate best practice or ideas to cross-pollinate solutions and insight.   
  • To assist in the forum running and management at the actual forum session
  • To deputise for the Business Excellence Directors where necessary.
  • To lead on projects, as required.
  • To share knowledge across forums, communities and projects to drive out better practices for the Growth & Innovation team as a whole.
  • To promote innovation and present new ideas to the Growth and Innovation team and forum chairs
  • To remain well informed on market and food trends and to ensure that the better practices offered are current and competitive
  • Growth and Innovation portal management - to assist with information capture and upload ensuring content is relevant and up to date
Role Specifications
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • At least High school graduate
Desirable:
  • Project Management certification / Agile leadership

Experience:
Essential:
  • Strong experience in managing senior stakeholders (ideally across different time zones and markets)
  • Compass knowledge and experience in a market or sector
Desirable:
  • Event Management or project management experience
  • Demonstrable evidence of having implemented best practice or innovation

Skills:
Essential:
  • High level of verbal and written English 
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Project management capability
Desirable:
  • self-starter, confident 
  • Enjoys working as part of a team

Competencies:
