Psychology Services Administrator

HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottinghamshire

Full-Time (flexible hours)/ Permanent

£18,976 per annum + Benefits



Here at Serco we're looking for a Psychology Services Administrator to join us at HMP Lowdham Grange based in Nottinghamshire. The postholder will be responsible for organising and delivering against key administrative tasks in the department to ensure the effective completion of tasks in a timely manner.


You will contribute to the HMPPS strategy for reducing reoffending within prisons and support the business objectives relating to delivering a safe, decent and responsible environment.


You must ensure all PPPRs records are clear and up to date by continually reviewing the management spreadsheet and inputting all relevant data to ensure this is an accurate reflection of the review attendance. To complete Case Notes for each PPPR case, so this process can be picked up by another in the event of absences.



As part of this you'll:


  • Support with scheduling all Post Programme Progress Reviews within the time frame of 4 - 6 weeks following the final programme session for TSP and RESOLVE.
  • Ensure a facilitator, OS and or OM is in attendance as a minimum and rearrange where required to accommodate the attendance and timescale requirements.
  • Write all PPPR Minutes to a satisfactory standard as outlined by the OBP Resettlement Manager.
  • Allocate re-categorisation requests to OBP Facilitators for completion and to complete Nil Returns yourself. Return these to OMU once completed.
  • Manage/complete all Data Protection Requests (DPA) that are required for completion for GDPR purposes.
  • Recording and coordinating any maintenance requirements with the facilities department.
  • Transfer of Psychology files in and out of the establishment.
  • Accepting applications. Either answering these directly or allocating to individuals to answer.



What you'll need to do the role

First and foremost, you'll need to have at least 1-2 years-worth of experience working within an Admin position. It would be advantageous if you've worked in a custodial setting and very desirable if you've worked and dealt with GDPR processes.


The successful applicant will be computer literate (Microsoft Office packages including Word, Teams and Excel), someone that can demonstrate strong administration skills, and someone that has a keen eye for detail when dealing with data inputting. We are looking for someone that can communicate at all levels, build strong working relationships and be a successful part of an ever-growing team.
