Pupil Support Assistant - Fixed Term Until 25th June 2021
ASL Service

Salary:£18,860 - £21,828 (Pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks per year

This post is to work specifically with children with additional support needs in primary and secondary schools across Edinburgh. The Additional Support for Learning service is a peripatetic service and applicants must be willing to work anywhere in the city.

Applicants must have experience of supporting children and young people to regulate their behaviour.

The hours for this post are: 8.30am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday (this includes a 15 minute morning break and 30 minute lunch break, both unpaid)

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults,under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
