HMNB Clyde, Helensburgh
Here at Babcock International we are recruiting Project Quantity Surveyor to support in the delivery of highly complex estates tasks within HMNB Clyde naval base.
You will drive task objectives including building the facility of a dedicated QS team within the Naval Base Projects Division and developing contractual standards and processes within the team in line with business needs on a whole life contractual and costing basis.
The QS will measure, value, negotiate and agree valuations and final accounts to the maximum benefit of the company. Investigate and resolve contractual issues and disputes. You'll implement continuous improvement and best practice and contribute to business initiatives in accordance with the Operational, Technical and Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have extensive experience in a surveying position and have the ability to thrive within a fast paced environment.
Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
- You will have a demonstrable track record of controlling and measuring cost and quality performance with Project Officers to ensure service levels are in line with business objectives.
- You'll be able to challenge tendering and procedure strategy to maximise and improve business performance.
- Hold relevant qualification and chartered MRICS, if not will be supported to gain qualification.
What else do I need to know?
This role is based at HM Naval Base Clyde, located 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. We are well placed for commuter links to Glasgow and the wider region, with easy access for car and public transport.
